Data Backup
Provides daily, weekly or monthly data backups of files critical to your business. Perform Full, incremental or differential backups of files located on your PC, Server or within your network. (more info)
Our Data Backup Solution works nightly to provide you with backups of the most up to date critical files on your hard drive. We recommend weekly full backups of your information with nightly incremental backups of information that has been accessed that day. To limit the amount of data you have stored on the data servers, We can customize the lenght of time your backups reside on the servers. We suggest 2 - 3 backups of the data, any more would only be needed if your industry has laws that regulate the required length of backups of client data.
The insurance industry requires agents to have client information for up to 7 years after the client is no longer active with the agent. Remote backup of Rochester works with clients to assess their needs and to provide custom Data Backup solutions.
Data Archiving
When you have a large amount of data that only gets altered every so often. A Data Archiving solution would be a better fit. We take a "Snapshot" of data located on your hard drive and store that at our secure location with access available with our Remote Backup of Rochester software. (More info)
Our Data Archiving Solution is a great alternative to clients that have data that does not need to be altered often. Digital Photographers and web disigners are two great examples. Both have plenty of graphics that dont change often over time. We provide onsite tecnical support to transfer the data (compressed and encrypted) to an external harddrive. We then transport the harddrive to our data Center and upload the data to our data servers. The information is then accessible via the Internet using the Remote Backup of Rochester software to retrieve what the client needs.
Data Archiving is suggested at least every 3 months. To insure the accuracy of the data that is available in the archive and to minimize the risk of losing data do to hardware failure.
